The AC standard. Slower, and what you will find at hotels, car parks and workplaces where the car is parked for hours anyway.

Type 2 handles AC only, so the charging speed is set by the car's onboard charger rather than by the post — a 22 kW post will still only deliver 7 kW to a car with a 7 kW onboard charger, which surprises people. That makes it the right connector for destination charging and the wrong one for a quick top-up. Some posts are tethered (cable attached), others are sockets you bring your own cable to.

ChargeMap describes what is installed at each site — power, connectors, operator — from OpenStreetMap. It does not know whether a plug is free, working, or even still there right now, and no static page can. Before you rely on a charger, check the operator's own app. Treat everything here as a starting point, not a guarantee.
